About WellMixed.com

WellMixed.com was founded by Clay Vernon of Kansas City, Missouri, an audio-engineer and entrepreneur with a Masters of Music degree in Music Theory and Composition. The website launched in July of 2008.
Clay
Clay always loved great sound. When he was in high school he dreamed of making a great rock record with his band, The 37 Chickens. But in the middle of the Kansas plains in the 90's, the path to a great sounding record was very unclear. Still, he worked feverishly to learn all he could about audio. By the time he was skilled enough to make recordings sound professional on his own, he was in his twenties, and the time for rock stardom had passed him by. But he still wanted to make others' recordings sound great!

So in early 2008 he joined up with Robert Zhou and Jeff Barber of Hurox.com to develop an extremely easy to use method of uploading large session files via the net. The WellMixed.com system allows home-recordist musicians the opportunity to have their projects mixed and mastered by Clay or another WellMixed.com staff engineer. The files are then returned via the web as stereo files ready for internet distribution.

There are many big things planned for WellMixed.com in the future. As high-speed internet use in the English-speaking world becomes more prevalent, music industry pros have the opportunity to collaborate in more transparent ways. WellMixed.com aims to be on the forefront of this revolution for the home-recordist.
